Amazon Switches to 3-Day Work Week

During the COVID pandemic most of the tech companies had been operating virtually from the home. After that, companies started resuming their corporate lives.

However, Amazon recently asked the staff to start with the 3-Day Work Week.

Staff is obligated to come to office for only 3 days a week and the rest of the days they can operate virtually from anywhere.

CEO Andy Jassy announced the policy in a memo to staff. The change will go into effect May 1, 2023.

Jassy said in his memo that Amazon made its decision after observing what worked during the pandemic. He shared that the senior leadership team watched how staff performed. He observed that the employees tended to be more engaged in person and collaborate more easily.
