All about 5 Aspiring Young Entrepreneurship Stories

I am presenting 5 aspiring young entrepreneurship stories in brief. I am always fascinated by such entrepreneurship stories, irrespective of whether they succeed or fail.

It takes something out of the box thinking, for sure, to become an entrepreneur.

Everyone may not have it, or at least, they need to cultivate it (that can be done too).

For the brevity of this article, I am not writing in deep detail. I am touching the surface with short briefs about the 5 young enterprising people and their ideas.

Moreover, you may also visit their websites to know more and get more information and inspiration.

1 - Laura Vogelle

Laura Vogel

Laura Vogelle at the age of 21 moved from Colorado to Milan, Italy in a student exchange program.

She had a keen interest in modeling and has been doing it since her teens.

In Europe, she noticed that women were very fond of small casual chic bags which they use to carry over their shoulders. She observed that it was fast becoming a trend in Italy and Europe.

Laura started having ideas. She already had some experience in Marketing and Finance, then onwards Laura started to work to create her own signature brand to launch her branded bags in the market. It was finally launched in 2020.

She used the genuine Italian leather accented with gold hardware that was a big appeal to the European women. The trend started catching up with all ages of women.

In the last four years, Laura has been aggressively promoting her brand on the social media with great success.

2 - Zhengua Yang

Zhengua Yang

At the age of 18, Zhengua woke up in the middle of the night choking up with his own blood.

It was discovered that he had a fatally low platelet count. Doctors just gave him a few days to live.

Zhengua was hospitalized immediately but somehow, he remained there for 2 years with a severe blood disorder. He was so terrified that the smallest muscle movement could end his life anytime.

To overcome isolation, Zhengua started playing the online video game ‘League of Legends’ spending 10,000 hours.

He started connecting with people from all around the world including a medical researcher who helped him to connect with the world-renowned hematologists.

Zhengua now inculcated an idea to create a video game that could teach, inspire and help save lives.

He then collaborated with Video Game Development company ‘Serenity Forge’ to launch his video games with many successful releases i.e. ‘Where The Water Tastes Like Wine’, ‘Doki Doki’, and ‘Literature Club Plus’.

The success of video games made Zhengua a worldwide sensation, when he was published in the Forbes Magazine in ‘30 Under 30’ List in the year 2020.

Zhengua interestingly has the passion to not only play games but to create games that can help people in business, operations and education areas to create a social impact.

He once remarked: ‘Video games saved my life, and they just might save yours too”

3 - Tiffy Chen

Tiffy Chen

Tiffy moved from Taiwan to Canada for her studies. She started feeling homesick quite often.

So, in her basic student kitchen, she started making small easy dishes like fried rice, and then gradually advancing in making more delicate dishes like pho.

The cooking activity helped her to kill some of her homesickness, especially having missed the vibrant food life in Taiwan back at home. And missing the flavors and aromas and remembering her family too.

Though the activity started as a stress reliever, at the same time, Tiffy also started posting all this stuff online on her social media channels. That started catching up fast with a massive social media following.

And she was featured in Good Morning America.

Last November 2023, Tiffy launched her Asian Food company ‘Kai Dong’ (meaning ‘let’s eat’ in Mandarin).

She published all her beloved recipes in the cookbook with easy to follow recipes mentioning all the ingredients in easy language.

She helped create the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund. It was named after the siblings’ late grandfather Waymon T Webster, who was a dean of Prairie View A & M University Graduate School.

In 2022, Waymon Webster scholarship awarded USD 1 Million in scholarships to 100 graduating seniors from 38 historically Black Colleges and universities to help the financially challenged youth to complete their education.

Both brother and sister are working together to make this dream a reality.

5 - Arielle Zappia

Arielle Zappia

Arielle was just in her initial teens when she started noticing things deeply and feeling empathy for the under and unprivileged homeless people.

Some of the known stigma attached with them were either the mental illnesses or the drug addiction.

Arielle was deeply aggrieved by this situation and wanted to do something.

The first thing she noticed was that there was no proper information available for homeless people.

So, she started contacting and interviewing them. And then she formed her own non-profit project WHY (‘We Hear You’) in 2022 at age of 14.

Now she is the CEO of this nonprofit organization, and she shares and publishes the stories of unhoused people on the website.

She has successfully developed many cross collaborations with different entities to help this community to uplift.
