Migraine is irritating. It causes a nuisance in one’s life when they come out of nowhere. They make the sufferers miserable whether they are out for groceries, working at home, or making an online video call at the workplace.

Their onsets are sudden; therefore, no one can predict when one will have a migraine attack. But keeping instant pain relief tablets would save your day if you are in such a situation.

We often hear that word migraine from our elders, friends, and colleagues but what exactly is this throbbing pain we cannot really know in terms of its real definition. 

Migraines are recurring or ongoing kind of headache. They cause moderate to severe pain that is throbbing or pulsing.

The pain is often on one side of your head. With the pain, accompanies many other symptoms that can create the patient helpless.

Find a place to relax


Migraine starts with dull pain and gradually it becomes so severe.

A relaxing place could be anywhere if you are at home then go to your room and try to relax yourself.

You can also start meditating while relaxing. Think of positive things that this pain will go away and you will be fine.


Put warm or cold packs on your forehead


If you want to get quick relief from your throbbing pain you can put a cold pack on your forehead. It will give you a soothing effect.

If you do not like cold compresses then hot packs are equally good in easing your pain and subsiding your symptoms.


Drink some caffeinated beverage


During the attack of migraine, caffeinated drinks like tea or coffee would be good. You can opt for any drink you like or which works for you.

Apart from taking coffee or tea, you can increase the intake of water also.

Sometimes, our body needs water when we are having migraines.

In worst cases, you can take a pain killer to avoid ending up throwing up.


Minimize stress from your life


The main trigger of migraine is stress. If you are living a rough patch in your life or having a troubling relationship with your spouse, or you might be worried about your job or you do not like to be booed around in your office then you will likely to bottle up your emotions and it leads to stress which leads of migraines later on.

In some sensitive people, sudden attacks of migraines are very painful and it happens when they take an excessive amount of stress or think about the same thing over and over again.

It is important to address the cause of the stress and remove it from your life in order to get rid of migraines at the first place, and improving your overall health and relationships in your personal life.

To release stress there are many yoga techniques and moves that help in releasing stress at the end of the day.


Sleep well at night


If you cannot sleep well at night then it will also become one of the reasons for your uncalled guest: migraine.

To avoid such painful headaches, it is always recommended to sleep on time, do not use your tablet or iPhone for longer periods of time before sleeping.

In fact, you should create a soothing and relaxing atmosphere in your room before sleeping. You can play sleep improving music from your podcast.

Dim the lights in your room before sleeping. And use the power of positive thinking to generate feelings of relaxation and control.


Find some time for exercise


If you keep sitting at work in front of your desktop then you need to take a break of ten minutes after every half an hour.

You can take a walk or just stroll around to stretch your head, neck, and shoulder muscles. Moreover, it will improve your blood circulation and also help you relax while at work.

After work, try to do at least 15 minutes of exercise daily or five times a day.

Exercising will release happy hormones in your body, and also help you release your stress levels.

You can do some beginner’s level of yoga steps, and breathing exercises to soothe your stiff muscles as well as your tired mind.
